VESPER makes sunglasses for people who already wear glasses.
If you have a prescription, the sunglasses aisle is not really built for you. Ordinary frames do not go over your own, clip-ons wobble and scratch the lenses underneath, and a second prescription pair in a tinted lens costs more than most people want to spend on something they will leave in a car door pocket. Most people end up squinting through the glare instead.
Fit-overs solve that in the simplest way available: a frame wide enough and deep enough to sit over the glasses you already own, with a polarized lens in front. You keep your prescription. You get your eyes out of the sun.
What we carry
Every pair of fit-over sunglasses we sell has polarized UV400 lenses, which block ultraviolet light up to 400 nanometres and cut the reflected glare that comes off water, snow, glass and wet asphalt. Beyond that, the range is about shape and fit rather than technology:
- Men's — six models, from the oversized wraparound Atlas to the slim, understated Prime.
- Ladies' — six models, from the softly rounded Allure Halo to the wider, more angular Velora.
- Kids' — a smaller, lighter frame for children who already wear glasses.
- Sport — a closer fit shaped to stay put while you run, ride, golf or fish.
- Night driving — yellow-tinted, non-prescription glasses for after dark. Please read the note on that product page before you buy.
- Readers — ready-made reading glasses from +1.00 to +4.00.
- Accessories — cases sized for fit-overs, straps, grips, lens wipes and pouches.
Getting the fit right
A fit-over only works if it clears your own frames. Before you order, measure your glasses at their widest point, across the front from hinge to hinge, and compare that with the frame width listed on the product page. If your glasses are on the larger side, look at Atlas or Velora first. If you are between two models and unsure, write to us with the measurement and we will tell you which one to pick — we would rather answer a question than process a return.
Buying from us
Prices are in U.S. dollars. Shipping options and costs are shown at checkout before you pay, and any duties or taxes not collected there are set by the destination country, not by us.
